FIRE SAFETY AUDITS AND INSPECTIONS:
In order to minimize the recurrence of outbreak of fire incidents, and to ensure that effective Fire Prevention and Protection measures are adopted and implemented, based on the advisories / directions of the Directorate General, Fire Service, Civil Defence & Home Guards, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, Meghalaya Fire & Emergency Service is regularly conducting Fire Safety Audits and Inspection in Schools, Colleges, Hospitals and Nursing Homes, Government Offices, Religious Places, Heritage Buildings, Banks, Vital Installations, Shopping Malls, Cinema Halls, High Rise Buildings, Industries/Factories etc. and also covering villages in Rural areas through out the State enforcing the provisions of Fire Prevention and Fire Protection arrangements in line with National Building Code 2016 (Part IV.
